Single and heavy film magnet wire is defined by the NEMA MW-1000 Global Standard for magnet wire wherein “single” and “heavy” refer to the thickness of the enamel coating over the core wire material. The core material is typically bare copper, however other conductor materials are available.
Single Film Litz Wire
Single film magnet wire is the industry standard for electrical winding applications, offering a thin enamel coating that maximizes copper density and enables a smaller diameter for compact designs.
